I am committed to improving the achievement level for all students in the public school system. I began my career as a high school history teacher in Brooklyn, New York. I now prepare the next generation of social studies teachers as a professor in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Teaching is incredibly hard work. Yet I believe that hard work is the best kind of work.
